چکیده

This work is devoted to proving existence of global weak solutions for a general isothermal model of capillary fluids derived by J.E Dunn and J.Serrin (1985) [5], which can be used as a phase transition model. We distinguish two cases when the dimension N = 2 and N = 1, in the first case we need that 1 ρ ∈ L∞, when N = 1 we get a weak solution in finite time in the energy space.

Existence of weak solution for compressible fluid models of Korteweg type

This work is devoted to proving existence of global weak solutions for a general isothermal model of capillary fluids derived by J.E Dunn and J. Serrin (1985) [6], which can be used as a phase transition model. We improve the results of [5] by showing the existence of global weak solution in dimension two for initial data in the energy space, close to a stable equilibrium and with specific choi...

Study of compactness for compressible fluid models with a specific Korteweg tensor

This work is devoted to the global stability theory of solutions for a general isothermal model of capillary fluids derived by C. Rohde in [17], which can be used as a phase transition model. This chapter is structured in the following way: first of all inspired by the result by P.-L. Lions in [15] on the Navier-Stokes compressible system we will show the global stability of weak solution for o...

New entropy for Korteweg’s system, existence of global weak solution and new blow-up criterion

This work is devoted to prove the existence of global weak solution for a general isothermal model of capillary fluids derived by J.E Dunn and J.Serrin (1985) (see [18]), which can be used as a phase transition model. More precisely we shall derive in a first part new entropy estimates for the density when we are dealing with specific capillarity coefficient κ(ρ) = 1 ρ (let us emphasize on the ...

Convergence of capillary fluid models: from the non-local to the local Korteweg model

In this paper we are interested in the barotropic compressible Navier-Stokes system endowed with a non-local capillarity tensor depending on a small parameter ε such that it heuristically tends to the local Korteweg system. After giving some explanations about the capillarity (physical justification and purpose, motivations related to the theory of non-classical shocks (see [28])), we prove glo...

Self-propelled motion in a viscous compressible fluid

In this paper we focus on an existence of a weak solution to a system describing a self-propelled motion of a single deformable body in a viscous compressible fluid which occupies a bounded domain in the 3 dimensional Euclidean space. The considered governing system for the fluid is the isentropic compressible Navier-Stokes equation. We prove an existence of a weak solution up to a collision.
